LEVEL 3
Level 3 Curriculum - Outline of what students will be taught during the school year:
Arabic Studies
- Students will learn how to read and write sentences in Arabic.
- Students will learn how to form and spell words.
- Students will learn simple grammar.
Islamic Studies
- Students will learn and discuss the 99 names of Allah.
- Students will learn what is Islam, Iman, and Ihsan.
- Students will learn dua'a supplications, supplications related to Salat, and Hadeeth.
- Students will focus on the biography of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh).
- Students will discuss Islamic manners, At-Taharah, Wudu, and to how to perform Salat (Salatul-Juma'ah, Salatul Masbooq, and Eid Prayer).
- Students will discuss the lives of other Prophets such as Musa, Shu'ayb, and Isa.
Quranic Studies
- Students will review, memorize, and learn the meaning of the following surahs: Al-Hummazah, Al-Asr, Al-Kawthar, Al-Qariah, Al-Adiyat, Az-Zalzalah, Al-Bayyinah, Al-Qadr, and Al-Alaq.
Pre-Requisites for Level 3- Outline of what students should know in order to enroll in this class:
- Students should have successfully completed Level 2 at the Almanar Modern School or have passed the appropriate Assessment Exam.
Arabic Studies
- Students should be able to read and write the entire Arabic alphabet.
- Students should know all of the long and short sounds in the Arabic.
- Students should know how to form Arabic words.
- Students should know minor word spelling.
Islamic Studies
- Students should have basic knowledge of the Prophet Mohammed's (pbuh) life, the Pillars of Islam, and the Pillars of Iman.
Quranic Studies
- Students should have memorized a majority of the following surahs: Al-Fatiha, An-Nas, Al-Falaq, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Masad, An-Nasr, Al-Kafirun, Al-Khawthar, Al-Ma'un, Quraish, and Al-Fil.
