Dear Readers Assalam-o-Alaikum,
In this month's MCC Voice, you will find a detailed updated from the MCC Foundation on the construction of the new center in Santa Luz. We currently need to raise an additional $350,000 to meet our financial commitment. Everyone is encouraged to visit the construction site and donate generously to the cause.
Besides having the usual updates on Al-Manar and Youth activities, we have some very important updates from the MCC Membership department (regarding the membership fees) and the MCC Nomination Committee (regarding the upcoming elections). We also have some updates on events in April -- The 1st MCC Walk on April 18th, and the monthly Potluck on April 25th. We would love to see ALL members participate in these activities!!
The 2 featured articles in this month's issue are Five Dysfunctions of Islamic Organizartions was contributed by Nasir Pasha that talks about the root cause of issues commonly encountered by Islamic Organizations. The article How Islamic Inventors Changed the World discusses 12 scientific discoveries made by Muslim Scientists that impacted the world. We have also included some information and a web link about the 1001 Inventions: Discover the Muslim Heritage in our World with a short movie starring Ben Kingsley as Al-Jazari.
